Beachside Resin Collaboration
with Gail Beebe
“I create ocean inspired charcuterie boards using two different resins and many coloring agents like pastes, powders, micas and alcohol inks. Using two different resins allows me to create the colors of the ocean with a two-hour working window. By having the long working time, I can use at least five colors which will intermingle with each other and additional colors are created on their own. The second resin used is just to make the beautiful ocean waves, which allows the piece to look just like the ocean.”

Artist Statement: Gail Beebe
“Originally from Central Florida, I moved to the Daytona Beach area a few years ago after retiring from a retail career in the northeast. How did I start this new career? Well, my son, Greg, is a multi-media artist living in Miami. Having his parents living close by, he asked us to help him put resin on his art. Of course, I knew nothing about resin but realized I really enjoyed it. I decided to take some classes, and several years later – I still take classes, learn, and experiment with new techniques and looks. From my original vision, to create the ocean look on charcuterie boards, I realized how much I enjoy creating a variety of works of art with resin.
Retiring in Daytona Beach and having a fun second career as a resin artist is now my passion! I could not be any happier!”
